Donkeys can help children with milk allergies

Donkeys milk not only helps children with milk allergies but   it also helps women to stay slim. Donkeys milk produces  various health benefits. It’s useable alternatively for children and infant   who suffer from cow’s milk.

It is heard that more than 50% donkeys milk is sold directly to paediatrics.  Dr Giovanna Monti, a paediatrician at the head of the allergy unit at Turin's St Anna hospital, Italy, said 

‘This milk is very similar to human milk, and has many benefits’.

 It contains low saturated fat and a high level of Omega 3 and 6. Balancing these two is known to be critical for a healthy heart. It also contains important calcium for children’s growth.

On the other hand, according to a research, donkeys milk contains an enzyme which help against stomach infection. There is a low level of “bad” fat and certain fats can damage the arteries and the heart.

Donkeys are beautiful animals, but I can’t even imagine tasting their milk. I guess, after a while, it will be monkey's milk which will  help us to stay young, so no more wrinkle cream needed.

Beach elephant becomes life saver

An elephant call Ningnong has saved an eight year old girl from a tsunami in Thailand by carrying her on his back to safety. Amber Mason, from Milton Keynes began her friendship with the four year old elephant during her holiday in Thailand accompanied by her parents.

At Laguna Beach inPhuket, in Thailand Amber was riding the elephant at that time, when suddenly the elephant recognized that something was wrong. Then the elephant put Amber on his back and brought her to a more safe place.

Amber’s mum said ‘’ if she had been alone on the beach or even with us, she would never have lived‘’. They are very thankful to Ningnong for saving their daughter’s life and they have decided to pay 30 £ every month to support Ningong.

This one-eyed, nose less ragdoll breed can stay alive for only one day after being born. The condition is known as cyclopia because it creates a birth defect in which a normally two-eyed animal is born with only a single fused eye. In this case, her single eye is located where the nose should be. Her facial deformities were examined at the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Bethesda, MD.

Veterinarians in Oregon said Cy suffered from a rare disorder called holoprosencephaly ­­- a birth defect of the brain, which often also affects facial features, causing closely spaced eyes, small head size and sometimes clefts of the lip and roof of the mouth.

Personally when I saw this story, two things happened: I stopped reading at the first line. Then I felt sick. Why? Firstly I was scared; one eyed creatures don’t exist, do they? Except in fairy tales. Secondly, Cy tragic as he is, has nothing in common with the perfect pet I have always had in mind.

Drunk Elk stuck in an apple tree

It seems that the fun doesn’t stop   at humans - a Swedish elk had to be cut free from an apple tree after having a  long and heavy night on the hard stuff.

It is believed the animal tried to  reach the higher fruit and suddenly got stuck  into an apple tree after eating fermented apples . Local fire crews had to cut off some limbs (as in branches, not legs) in order to free the elk.

Once free, the drunken deer had a bit of lie down on the grass and after eating some food to regain some energy, she visibly improved. Then she went in the woods nearby, presumably to sleep off the effects of her big night out.

Naked mole rats often called "Sabre tooth sausages" have the worst sperm, in the animal kingdom, with their most bizarre members and sharp teeth.

Their life expectancy is 20 years compared to other rats. They are blind and live entirely in a range of  underground tunnels. They can only recognise each other  by smell. A group of scientists realized that the naked mole rats have really crappy sperm.

Unexpectedly, regardless of the low mobility and miserable function of their sperm, these naked mole rats are quite fertile and have many healthy descendants.

 Some of us might find these naked mole rats hideous while others find them adorable, but anyway,  the naked mole rat is a quirky creature, which is neither a rat nor a mole.

Old goats ~ new tricks

You might just be able to guess that goats have a really good taste for the deciduous argon tree that produces an oil which is used for its culinary, cosmetics and medical purposes. Than again, you might just see goats on a tree.


At least thses goats have really nice silky hair, by eating olive leaves. But the residence in Morocco are quite sensitive about their olive trees. They need those olives for oil.

I think the community should protect olives trees from grazing goats who are jeopardizing the forests in the process. Let's be clear, there really is only one way to get goat pure oil once they have eaten those leaves. You wait. I think you get the picture.

To some people, these pictures are proof that nature will always find a way to thrive regardless of human intervention.  To others, these images speak to the utter devastation of worldwide environments by man-made structures and encroaching civilization.

No matter which side of the debate you are on, it is clear that these goats are making the best of their situation and using the available resources to get what they need in their diets.

Everyone knows that goats can navigate extreme terrain but trees...? Walls...?  Watch these skilled mammals hop gracefully from branch to branch and up that wall.

Who is the real mad cow ?

Scientists from across Europe are hoping to find out how  to reduce methane from belching cows and why some animals produce more methane than others.

Eurocrats are planing to spend £6 million of taxpayers money to stop cows from burping and breaking wind. It is believed that gas produced from cows is more dangerous for the planet than CO2 emissions from our cars. Scientists are convinced that a different diet could help reduce methane from belching cows.

Burping and farting cows, what else?

On a more serious note, £6 million pounds of texpayers money is a huge amount to spend on a glorified science project.

I can think of a  hundred things that I would have used that money for.
